NO WAY is this a 25 food restaurant. Of the three entrees and soup we ordered, only one was edible. Combo bbq pork and duck was served cold. wonton soup was actually a noodle soup with pork dumplings. My wife is still in bed with a stomach bug she got there.
I'd avoid this place unless you have a love affair with poorly prepared chinese food.

You would think the same chain would have the same quality of food but this is not the case with First Chinese BBQ. The wontons are too salty and the shrimp is just not as fresh and crunchy, the roast duck is not just that great.

Still turning out excellent Cantonese at bargain basement prices, and the barbecued roast pork and lacquered duck continue to be superb.

food is great. we've been going to this restaurant sine 1982..and the place had been renovated and looks a lot more presentable... ..just erected another branch in the north dallas/garland area in less than a year... has added more english speaking waitresses...a plus as it was hard to communicate w/ some of the new servers....clean ; sometimes u have to wait in line i esp. in buying their "hanging" cooked meat..roasted duck and cold chicken .

Incredible roast duck and roast pork. This place is very popular for take out roast meats and duck in the Chinese community. The extensive menu includes classic Chinese and Vietnamese dishes. Most dishes arefine as is the service. The clear stars are the roasted pork, BBQ pork, and duck. Veggies are good. For a broad spectrum of chinese food this is not the best in Austin but if you want the best pork and duck in Austin you must come here.
