Home made pasta was as advertised and absolutely amazing. Don't know about the amazing list of wines by the glass - there were about ten total which is very average. Service was OK and the place gets a bit noisy. I'd come back for the fresh pasta any day though!

Excellent trattoria, with wonderful homemade gelato and very fresh ingredients. Lasagna Bolognese is wonderful. Service is attentive and sharp. Decor is open and airy, with a broad view of the kitchen work area. This place is a gem and for downtown, the price is surprisingly reasonable for the quality.

The $5 pizza nights and half-price wine nights are licenses to steal. The prosciutto di parma with melon is like "buttah." Can be very noisy but there's an outdoor option.

I had a great meal at A Mano, a relatively new Northern Italian restaurant in the ground floor of the Sax Hotel on North Dearborn. I had a very unusual pizza, with a roasted garlic base, topped with capers, Italian parsley and whole littleneck clams. The pizza was partially cooked in their artisanal wood oven before putting the clams on top. When they opened, clam juice added another flavor which was wonderful. The crust was thin and excellent--I
