Charming setting. Great flavors. Fun and light and a great night. You know you are in San Francisco.

Although not all dishes are created equal I think this place is underrated. Portions are small which is good if you want a wide selection of tastes. The ability to bring in your own wine helps with the cost. Everything seems very fresh. There are some unusual dishes. The waiters are very well informed. Halibut-great, liver pate very good, hamburger-good quality meat but cold, Basque seafood stew-mild, fresh, OK. Homemade ketchup is very good.

Wow, i stuffed myself here. The chef sent out delightful little treats like a tiny soup taster. Ok, that in itself makes the night - usually you have to pay for a $100 fixed price meal before you get such nice little treats. Also, they do amazing things with beef, amongst other foods. Drinks are also delicious. I will be going back soon.

Fish & Farm is a little bit of kitsch Americana, but done in a decidedly San Francisco way. The decor is fun, colorful, preppy. The food focuses on simple and fresh foo. Seafood is featured promiently, and done well.

The cocktail (strawberry martini) and entree (salmon) were the best parts of the meal. I had the rum cake for dessert and it left a lot to be desired. The service was kind of slow, and we had to always wait for someone's order before we could all start eating.
