Don't bother with one of the franchise locations. The place on Kirby is still our favorite and everyone else in town. Our family goes to Carrabba's only on Kirby about once or twice per month. It's always the same -- loud and crowded, but we still think the quality of the food for the price is good. And we like that many of the wait staff have worked here for years so there's a certain familiarity about the restaurant, the menu and the waiters.

This chain is the best of Houston for Italian, hands down. There is competition from individually owned restaurants, but no chain with more than 2 sites can even compete. We eat here at least once every 2 weeks with the whole family. My kids love the Cozze in Bianco (can we get more mussels, Dad?) and my son loves the soups. Veal chop off menu is very well done. Mezzaluna is a no brainer.
