I feel bad that it has taken me so long to review this restaurant. The food is just perfect, and the wine list is actually reasonable. I had almost given up on Dallas restaurants because the wine list is so repulsive, but Charlie gets it. My favorite wine was 200 at Charlies and 350 at the mansion. Get it? The Salmon tartar was perfect, and the Angiolotti was so smokey and sweet from the browned butter I almost had two! Great lunch prices!

This has been one of our favorites, but in recent months there have been problems. On one occasion it took nearly 45 minutes after ordering for any food beyond the amuse. When we did get the food one of the appetizers was left out. The food itself is generally wonderful but the sauce on the veal one was so salty I could barely eat it.

I find this to be one of the best restaurants now in Dallas. As others have already said, it is a very impressive place both outside and in, attached to a Starwood luxury collection hotel in a historic and beautifully restored building in downtown Dallas. The dry aged Sirloin steak is the best sirloin I have ever had. My wife had the filet which was equally impressive. The wine list is incredible. I just hope the Dallas crowd goes.

Having eaten here three times-once for lunch and twice for dinner-I've found the food to be inconsistent. Lunch and one dinner was out of this world while the other dinner was unimpressive. Not what you'd expact from Palmer or the final bill. Outdoor dining adds to the continued revival of Main Street where the vibe grows monthly. The decor is very cool as is the scene at the bar. Service was above average but not what you's expect.

Delicious side items, attentive staff, little extras for a large group, slow dinner progression.
