Place is getting better and better -- and a bit younger, too. More energy. Weeknight wine list bargains are spectacular
I was craving Spanish food and searched Zagat for a place in Westchester. The reviews are spot on. The food and service were fantastic. Started with tapas: scallops and risotto, octopus, jamon and cheese platter. All delicious. And, ended with meat paella. I left satisfied and content. I cannot wait to return. Espana is a most try!
Very good paella in both seafood and meat. The spanish ham is also delicious. Located in a quite place with good decor of the restaurant. Nice restaurant that I will come back again.
Having dined 15 times since 8/08, the best in Westchester. Chef Anzar has a magic touch. The Padron peppers sauted and coated with sea salt (in Madrid "Pimientos"), hard to find elsewhere, or something as pedestrian as onion soup, a poem. Tue wine tasting, $40, 6 glasses of great Spanish wine, assortment of tapas. Sit at the bar, put yourself in Richie's hands, take a tour of Spanish wine country, ask what the catch off the coast of Galicia is.
Tapas are the main thing here and they are delicious. For cold tapas, try the anchovies or the stuffed peppers. For hot tapas, the octopus is a favorite. There are always specials and regular entrees. Sangria is great and the wine list is amazing--top rated by Wine Spectator. Sit at the bar and Richie will take you on a tour of Spain with wines by the glass. Creme brulee for dessert is always good.
