Been here several times now, last time was the best so far. The food for all 4 people in our party was certainly above average. The service is another story, which is disappointing, but thankfully it didn't impact our enjoyment that much. On Tuesdays, wine is 50% off (I don't know why they didn't tell us this before we ordered). Chef Anthony walked around to make sure everything was to our satisfaction, probably return for New Year's dinner.
i can understand the negative reviews when service was weak and prices, whcih have copme down) were sky high. the views are DEFINITELY worth a premium. we had 4 courses, plus amuse bouche and petit fours, sparkling wine with first 2 then wine by the glass for second 2. everyjhting we ate was top notch and generously portioned. the service was impeccable and the place was JAMMED. Anthony is a master and i cannot wait to return.
Anthony Gonclaves was in trotters restaurant incredible. 42 is not good. The food was poor. The fish was horrible must have been a bad dish but my wife complained that it was not good too. The dessert were nice but whatever. I will never go back again!
Sorely disappointed with Anthony Goncalves' new attempt at "high" society and over-rated for the hype its created in White Plains. The slow bar service began a rough evening with seating well after our reservation time. Then having no options for vegetarians except to add more spinach to an already small portion. Bread sticks and dessert show the culinary creativity that the rest of the meal lacked.
I've never been treated with such disrespect. I asked for a table near the window on a tuesday night, when the entire dining room was empty, and i was told they were all reserved. After our appetizer course, at around 8:00, the tables were not filled, i paid my check and walked out.
