Austin's is a decent stand by restaurant if you can't think of any other place to go. The food is good but a bit pedestrian. The service has never been anything to complain about, but I've also never been thrilled with it. Nothing bad to say. But that's about it.
A comfortable, family place with good food and good service. The concept of team work is taken to a great outcome.
A great place for a nice meal. I personally wish they would turn the lights up a smidge. I like the ambiance, but it is so dark in there you can hardly see. Spinach Reggiano dip is amazing. The salads are huge. Easily enough for two.
The restaurant has great food, great service, and a great atmosphere. They changed ownership back in April 2008, but I have only seen improvements since then. The ownership is basically the only thing that changed, they still have the most of the same wait staff, kitchen staff, and some of the management. It used to be JB Dawson's but now it is just Dawson's. They added some great new menu items and a new wine list that is amazing!
I know from former employees, that all ingredients and sauces are made fresh daily. It has a very friendly staff, and the food is great. The soups and salads, are a meal alone. Everyone on the staff helps. They don't leave you waiting for your server. A great experience for anyone. Lots of healthy options.
