The atmosphere & decor was very cool, hip & modern. Unfortunately my party of 12 got very crappy service - it took over an hour for our food to arrive after ordering (and it was a very slow night). Food wasn't that great when we finally did get served. Wait staff was MIA most of the evening and left us all very disappointed. Was it because they already included an 18% gratuity? Why bother wasting their time on us when they had a built in tip?

Oddly, this establishment markets as "sophisticated". I recently visited with the promise of a quiet European courtyard setting. One may consider the setting technically within a courtyard surrounded by five stories of low income apartments. The landscape is baron and one cannot help but feel as if residents are peering down at the poor service the few guests received. Wine was in no way paired to the meal. Try another...

Beautiful restaurant right in the newly renovated lofts. We were greeted by the "hostess" a one-year-old held in probably probably the owner's arms - very cute. Obviously a hands-on owner. We went for the brunch served only on the weekend. Inventive dishes, shrimp and polenta excellent. Went again recently and the pizzetta crust was very undercooked, and raw in the middle. Comp hot dog was given, not so good. My crab cake mornay excellent.

Probably the most intriguing wine list in Sacramento. Great food, always a changing menu full of seasonal, local, organic and sustainable foods. Very ambitious combinations and the staff includes some of the most knowledgeable foodies around. Really fantastic place with superb atmosphere.
