We've heard good things about L2O and decided to try it out... and we were SURPRISED by such great creativity and quality! We loved both the organization of the 12-course tasting menu and the choices offered for the 4-course prix fix menu. Although it's not yet the Per Se or Le Bernadin level, we definitely place it above Alinea / Tru / Charlie Trotters / Carlos in Chicago. Do not miss the raspberry dessert and the foie gras main dish, memorable!

At this price level I would have expected much better food. Nowadays chefs like to add a Japanese touch. Anyone who has travelled to Tokyo must consider these touches really a joke. So this place is some fusion that is neither here nor there.

Overall experience was great. Service was over the top. There seemed to be people constantly in motion through the dining room. Not only was service great, but it was almost theater. The food was very creative and wonderfully prepared and presented. I only reduced my decor rating because of the very cramped lounge which doesn't really have capacity for "lounging" and the dining room is retro 60's look and feel which isn't that creative.

$250 per person with wine but my gosh worth every penny in every way. attention to precision detail, artisitc presentation, creative french/asian cuisine at its very best. chicago should be proud of this reasonably new (open for 18 months) and giving chicago's best before it something to be intimidated by. make this your special celebritory restaurant of choice. Chicago's "Per Se".

The menu is imaginative and delicious and the staff attentive but fumbling sometimes. The wine recommendations were excellent. A nice place to spend the entire evening.
