The setting is spectacular. The food was excellent: prime rib perfect (but a bit on the smal side), duck appetizer wonderful, cheesecake and bread pudding desserts were very good. However, the service was poor and unresponsive for a Sunday night. The place was packed at 7:30 nearly a ghost town by 9:00. Wrong vegetable on one dish, interminable wait for lemon, the coffee and tea never arrived.

I am a well-educated, 40-something mother of two. Yet, the only words that come to mind when thinking of this restaurant are "you rock!" and "awesome", and "very cool". Great place.

This place was packed on a Friday night. Lots of people at the outdoor bar, and a live band. But we only had to wait about 20 minutes to get a seat.
They overcooked my steak, but the rest of the meal was great. I highly recommend the bread pudding for dessert.

I didn't know what to expect from Half Moon, since I was such a fan of Chart House while growing up. Surprise! We arrived late, and the front desk was mobbed ,but they STILL seated our party of 4 straightaway. My glass of Malbec was yummy and my arugula salad and seared tuna entree were outstanding. We shared the cheesecake and a rootbeer float, both of which were delicious. Now I have to find an excuse to go back and SOON!

Great outdoor bar right on the Hudson River, with views to the North and South to the City. Pleasant, attentive staff. Food good, not spectacular. Fish very fresh, well-prepared. Ceviche is best thing on bar menu. Still feels like a work in progress. Company that owns this also owns Harvest, just down the road, which consistently improved over time to become a comfortable, reliable place in notoriously inconsistent Westchester dining scene.
