Blue 13 was one of the best restaurants I've been to in Chicago. I rarely find a restaurant where the food, service, and environment are all impeccable. Blue 13 is a small, intimate-feeling restaurant with exposed brick walls and deep wood all around. Our server was genuinely in love with the restaurant and the food, which was, by the way, out of this world. So many flavors combined in creative dishes. This is my new favorite restaurant.

Excellent food and presentation. Our group of 6 shared many appetizers and all were creative and very good. Salads were likewise innovative. Halibut was special. The only drawback was that the service didn't measure up to the high quality of the restaurant. Service needs to be better trained and a bit more upscale for this level restaurant.

Great decor and very dynamic atmosphere. Our server was very attentive and provided very solid wine recommendations. The menu had many appealing options, the food was very well presented.

We really enjoyed the decor and our server but what we really enjoyed was the fresh menu and the incredible tasting food. It's been a while since I've actually enjoyed every bite as much as I did with the Surf and Turf, which was Tuna and Pork Belly and the chef's take on a caprese salad was different but good. It's not a big place but they have the right atmosphere and music. I loved the stilhetto on the ladies room door!
