First, it isn't owned by the Goodells any more, they sold out to a group of movie industry folks, and I can't speak to how it is vs. how it was. When I went, we grazed in the bar on appetizers and small plates, and generally they were good, but not great.

From start to finish this place was THE best, They have really brought this place to the forefront of what an excellent restaurant should be. The steaks were perfect. And our party of six thought the appetizers couldn't be better. Cocktails all from scratch, no mixes. And the corokage is ONLY $10. The place has a real lively feel and very attentive. The caramel custard and sundae ended the meal in style. In OC there is no comparison!

a cool vibe, fun cocktails. very good service and food. the spicy tuna appetizer is de-lish. entrees were large enough for real appetites. we went on a monday and had the nightly special - beef stroganoff- so good it was worth the calories, and the rib eye was cooked just right. really nothing to complain about! salty caramel ice cream is the bomb for dessert. really loved this place. felt like "home" only way better!
