Wonderful place for lunch; chef customized our entre to meet dietary needs; the whole wheat penne was wonderful with spicy tomato sauce and shrimp; service was excellent but also was not crowd; cost was in line with the quality.
A fun place to go to share italian 'tapas' and have wine. The service can be spotty but the food is tasty. I personally love the melted cheese with pears, crostini and garlic and the calimari...very original and good. All in all a fun escape from the traditional chains at Polaris.
What a great addition to the Short North! The Fettuccine & Meatball pasta is incredible! The ambiance is pretty neat, with a vast array of wine bottles lining the entire restaurant! For dessert, I recommend the Tiramisu, which makes your mouth water the moment it is placed on the table!! The staff is friendly, and the quality of food is definitely worth the visit!
A cacophonous space filled with everybody watching everybody, but not the food. When the bartender finally acknowledged us, it still took ten minutes to procure a drink and menu. The pizza had precious few toppings on an undercooked crust. The veal meatball and pasta pomodoro both had to be returned. We never return food! No questions were asked as to why, which bothers me as the chef might want to know. We'll go back for drinks in the spring maybe
The food at one of Cameron Mitchells most original restaurants was very good. The selection style of "tapas", for the lack of a better word, is not original, but tasty preludes to the menu. The mains were very good, including the special that I ordered, the braised rabbit with butternut risotto. Albeit salty, this winter dish was very hearty and satisfying. Though the restaurant may be somewhat "overpriced", it was a very enjoyable experience.
