If you are looking for great food in San Antonio, this is the place. HOWEVER, our experience trying to get a reservation and actually eat here was almost comical. It was as if they were trying to run us through a gauntlet of inefficiency & bad service. If we had the staying power to make it through, we would get to eat outstanding food. If not, tough ruck! it is great food and it was worth the trouble but I'm not sure they know what they're doing

Not unappealing. Predictable and overpriced wine list, nothing evidencing seasonal selection (like some dry whites, roses?). Bright appealing space, but tables too close and many chairs facing blank walls. Largely predictable (steak, chicken, fish) and somewhat overpriced (>30) menu evidencing little seasonal selection (lighter summer fare?). The food was good, service without fault, but nothing compels a return visit.

I was recommended Oloroso by a close friend we were discussing how tired of the chain restaurants where the menu and food quality is the same in every city. Oloroso's food is superb. Found out we don't like figs we love figs! The wine recommendations matched our food choices and added to our dining experience. The Salmon was the best I have ever had. Chef Josh is a delight. We have found our new San Antonio favorite.

My wife and I tried Oloroso after a strong recommendation by a friend and our experience supports our friend's rave review. The food was consistently exceptional with the minor exception of the bread (adequate) and buttermilk panna cotta (which was light and refreshing but not up to the other dishes). The figs wrapped in prosciutto, grilled octopus/frisee salad, and rabbit leg and saddle were superb. Hanger steak - very good. Wine prices are high
