The Greenhouse Tavern is my absolute favorite restaurant in Cleveland. Chef Jonathon Sawyer shows off his culinary skills in a simple beautiful expression at the first certified green restaurant in Ohio. A few dishes that have amazed me and everyone I have ever taken to the tavern are the crispy chicken wings, the shellfish cassoluet, and the Ohio Beef Tartare. Chef Sawyer puts his passion on the plate and it shows. The Greenhouse Tavern shines.

Gimmicky but good. Steak frites, coq au vin both excellent. Everyone loved their food and I'd eat here again. Downside: Small menu with too many variations of fries in duck fat. In some ways, the Emperor's New Food. Waiter giddy and cloyingly self-important. And only in Cleveland could this drab barn pass for the state of sustainable design: They got the preachy part down, but they missed where it's supposed to look beautiful, too.

Me and my wife went to Green House Tavern after she heard it over the radio as it was said to be good. In reality, it is the total opposite. The bread served is small, cold and hard. Makes it really hard to chew and swallow. My wife had the tomato bisque taste like VA Tomato Juice. For entree, i had the steak which is nothing to cheer abt for the price you pay. I think Outback steaks taste better! Overall, your money is better spent elsewhere.
