I've been so looking forward to eating here - after loving my soups and dumplings at Urban Belly...I only had the chance to try two items at lunch today - the Ssam salad is excellent - it's broken down to boston leaf lettuce, some quinoa, portobello mushrooms and something that is kimchi like - you roll everything up in the lettuce leaves with 3 different korean style sauces and voila - you have excellence - but i was still hungry!!

I ate at bellyshack the week they opened. As expected, the food was delicious. I had the grilled tofu sandwich served on fried plantains. Sounded fabulous, and it was, but very messy. The service was friendly, but slow, especially since there were more people in the kitchen than eating. I would NOT say that this place is budget-friendly. $13 for a sandwich and ice tea, and I still left hungry. BTW, what do these guys have against coat hooks?
