Stunning Spanish in the Mayflower Park Hotel that features wonderful traditional paella, magnificent roasted mussels in rosemary, super cabrales-crusted beef, and other distinctive regional specialties, as well as beautiful decor and superior service. Chef Wayne Johnson really knows how to do excellent Spanish/Med cuisine. This restaurant is truly worthwhile for fine-dining and helps promote the designation of Seattle as a major culinary capital.

Very imaginative choices among the small dishes. Relatively few entrees but the food was well prepared and well served. My paella was acceptable but I've had better in Newark's Ironbound. Maybe it just a Pacific Northwest kind of thing.

The food is good, the atmosphere is nice - just nothing special. Maybe it was because I was there on a Sunday night, but there is just no life in this place. The food doesn't have that fresh sparkle I expect in good tapas style. There seems to be no seasonal push, nothing remarkable. The menu is quite limited and there seems to be no specials. A shame really, it has promise, but doesn't deliver.

This is a great place for a nice, bountiful breakfast. The food and service were very good. If you are not staying at the Mayflower, it is a little out of the way, but worth the effort.
