Steak options at this writing were limited to filet and strip, both of which are decent but not steakhouse level in terms of flavor, texture for finish. The steak tartare a tad bland for my tastes. The angle with this place is the mystique about the service, which is what seems to attract most folks, including those in my party. Bottom line for me, there are better options for steak, but honestly most people will love it for the service.
The food was excellent, and the service impeccable. Everything was fresh, perfectly prepared. Overall, it's the best dining experience we've had in the 18 months we've lived in the Seattle area. Definitely our favorite, even though it's not priced for the recession.
The view and the decor are the thing here. It's the most expensive restaurant and wine list in Seattle but neither the food nor the wine list are really worth the price. Great for expense account dining and special celebrations but there are lots of other alternatives in town.
Gorgeous restaurant, outstanding service, but the food tops it all. Most incredibly subtle seasonings and fresh, outstanding ingredients. Totally loved the $95 tasting menu. And the restrooms has been nominated as one of top 10 in America!
The spectacular view of Lake Union and the mountains makes this one of the most beautiful dining rooms in Seattle. The servers are extraordinarliy well-trained and the sommelier quite well informed. The food was nicely prepared but did not make it to the level of 3 because the dishes were not very complex.
