29 Newbury was an institution.. What happened ?? I recently when and was the only one in the whole restaurant in prime time. They used to be "the place" to hang out with the fun Boston crowd and the occasional celeb. That ship has come and gone for them.. Seems like the patio is keeping them alive. It's very sad.

It's a new restaurant so they are still finding their way. The service was excellent though and so was the food. They have outdoor dining on nice days and the waitresses couldn't have been nicer.

We ordered the Margherita pizza. It came out looking a cheese pizza and it had no basil (because they ran out) and didn't ask if that was okay with us. The 29 burger was tasty and juicy. Sterile, drab atmosphere.

Rob is at stellas now. No more 29. Bad mistake to get rid of rob. Follow him to stellas on Washington street 1525. Back bar Friday nights.
