The recent renovation improved the decor of this South End tradition, but the quality of the food varies from visit to visit.

This is a lunch rating, but Amrheins is a favorite - always good fresh food and a nicely redone, upscale environment.

Good comfort food, a friendly wait staff, and an excellent Sunday brunch make this a neighborhood favorite. In the warmer months check out the new outdoor patio.

Awesome food. Delicious shrimp scampi crostini appetizer served with luscious giant shrimp and a decadent cream sauce. Generous portions. Steak tips and lobster and crab stuffed filet of sole served with a large heap of garlic mashed potatoes and a sizeable dish of squash. Food was served piping hot and the steak was sizzling. Good value if you're used to prices in Back Bay/ South End.
