This place is disgusting and is a huge waste of money. It's dirty, the food is horrible, the waiters & chef have no personality and it smells bad when you walk in. It stays in business because there is nothing else around like this. My husband dropped his glass case so we looked under the table with my purse flashlight. It was gross ! Stay away !

I've been going to Gasho for years and it is deperate need of renovation!! I would not want to be there at night when they turn the lights off! The thing that turned me off the most is the bus boy, it looks like he never cut his nails or cleaned them!!! It was so NASTY I felt sick.I would not go back!!

Interesting architecture (although dated and a little dirty). Food is AWFUL! Greasy, low grade steak and shrimp, poor service, long waits, you get the idea. I really don't know how this place stays in business, although my 5 year old loves it! If you are on this website your tastes are too evolved for this place, trust me. Go to Mount Fuji in Suffern if you must eat this style of food.

Good for young children. A big no for adults. The hibachi steak was oily and chewy. The Japanese palace is pretty.

Just as expensive as the others (Fuji Mountain, Edo) but lacking in some benefits like PeePee man, noodles and happy chef's. If I'm going to spend $15 on my six year old and $25 on myself without drinks or appetizers, then at least give me a smile. Similar waits and aloofness that you would expect from long serving Japanese restaurants, but for the money, I'd go elsewhere, despite the koi.
