Beautiful, easy to find river front property along the Farmington river. I found their new web site at apricotsrestaurant.us to be very informative and one of the reasons I made the trip to eat there. The food was excellent and the service was prompt.

It's pretty sad when the best reason you can come up with to go to a restaurant is for the view. This restaurant's quality is a shadow of it's former self.

A lovely location by the river is the real star here. You can dine outside on a nice day, enjoy the pub or partake of the more formal dining room upstairs, which is what we did. Although it seems a bit frozen in time, the food was quite good (best cod ever); wine list reasonable; and the service, while a bit stilted was still enjoyable. Made for a pleasant evening.

Service was indifferent. The wine list was mediocre. The menu was promising leading us to hopes for the grand meal that we expected. Unfortunately nothing on the menu came close to living up to its billing. Overcooking, over saucing, did nothing to hide the poor food preparation. The desserts for which Apricots prides its itself is bakery department grocery store quality at best. No more chances. Atmosphere does all that ails Apricots.
