It has been a while since I have been here, but what happened? A change in the kitchen or ownership? What was once a charming country inn has changed to a drab, boring shell of its former self. Totally tasteless decorating. The food does not hit any of the high notes it once did, but the most troubling aspect was the wait. It took 45 minutes to and hour to get each of our courses. A lot to ask for what was only decent food.

Service is reprehensible. Staff inattentive and rude. Food is comparable to a school cafeteria. The Inn may be nice in some rooms (those pictured on their website), but ours was dank, smelly and just dumpy looking. Plus anyone could have broken in as the lock on a window didn't work and there we no screens. Door could be pushed in by a 98lb weakling. Back garden view was pretty, but side view was of dumpster and strewn about trash. Noisy AM & PM

Wow! A little worn around the edges no more, the Kittle House has been given a contemporary facelift that carefully updates this lovely old place. The new chef brings flair and zest to what has always been a distinguished kitchen. The service (for a somewhat small crowd) was friendly and attentive -- even while a wedding reception was in progress downstairs.

All courses were very good except some of the desserts looked good, but tasted like commercial goods. But, for dessert, the cheeze platter was wonderful. Salmon came in a great broth. The service was well timed, professional and friendly.

Lovely, romantic setting. Perfect for dinner for two. Food was well-prepared and service was seamless. A bit pricey, but worth it for a special occasion. The bar is a nice, quiet place to have drinks and conversation with a friend.
