we had an outrageous time!!!! and we were pleasantly surprised by the caliber of the restaurant...steaks are dry aged seaood incredibly fresh...hudson house holds its own to ANY...ANY NY steakhouse....keep up the good work!!!!!!

Beautiful locale and stunning river views from the porch. The food and service, however, leave much to be desired. My wife and I went for a birthday brunch and the service was atrocious. It took 15 min to order, after we had to ask for the waiter, 30 min for food to arrive. Shrimp was overcooked, steak was the consistency of shoe leather and the crabcakes were over-breaded and tasteless. They have definitely slipped.

What a disappointment when I walked into The Hudson House to make reservations for lunch. My request for reservations for four was declined as I was advised that groups of six or more can make reservations. The luncheon menu, for my review, was handed to me with 'Here ya go!'. And I came away with the impression I was being done a favour. I used to be a very loyal Hudson House customer. No more...until the place changes ownership. How sad!

This place is perfect for weddings, the view is absolutely beautiful! But don't go for any other reason, the food sucks!! Will not go back, ever!

A beautiful view of the Hudson makes the experience all the more special - if the weather is nice, sit on the patio!
