Is it un-PC to say this is a good place for the gals at work? At least I've never been to the Tonga Room. Menu has been overhauled for the better, larger selection of more substantial dishes - I always felt like I had to order three of four menu items- quite a chore at the end of a weekday.

The goal here is to create Southeast Asian food with a different twist. In most dishes they are successful. Sweet Potato nan is a good idea. The duck rolls are very good. The Korean BBQ isn't bulgoge but the kimche on the side helps. The decor is very nice & it's possible to find intimate space in this big place. Service is first rate & the waiter's recommendations were great. A restaurant this size is something of a factory but a well run one.

Larkspur Location: Mediocre, overpriced food - you're paying for decor, not flavor. An upmarket, Asian-themed Applebee's.

Great for small plates. (Eaten at both SF and San jose locations)

Nothing that special about this place. It is big though and is therefore a good spot to get a drink and a bite when downtown on the weekend when you are starving and don't want to wait in line at any other mediocre restaurant. Also the decor is kind of a fun escape from the outside world.
