Went for a special lunch and the food was as amazing as expected. Very attractive, convival atmosphere with great maitre d' and warm staff, but they are missing on execution of service. 15 minutes for ice tea? Offered champagne on the house for birthday and then charged? Nothing terrible, but more expected at this wonderful restaurant.

This Bistro has raised the level of its game in this vision of a high end Paris/Manhattan bistro in the Napa Valley. From a great raw bar right thru the bistro salads to steak frites and beyond to the tart citron and profiterole and everything in between Bouchon is at the top of its game if you can stand the decibel rating of a rock concert when full. The new patio is first rate on a par with the service and front of house..

Alll the cliches apply. The service was pleasant not snotty so we felt right at home, the food was really really good and the ambience just lovely. I enjoyed particularly the salmon rillettes and the boudin noir special just superb. anyone worried about pricing shouldn't be, this place is priced as it should be for a Bistro and it was really good value for such high quality technique and simplicity.

Romantic and relaxed environment with exceptional food. Make sure to order the frites, which the generous portions will be appreciated by all.

Incredible service at the bar. Tables are extraordinarily cramped but the perfect fries and hanger steaks justify the 40-mile drive. Wine list is appropriately great, with a wide-ranging selection, both in AVA and price.
