Interesting, well prepared meat dishes that are bland and tasteless with little seasoning. Fish dishes are much better. Except for the table settings the decor looks like tacky 60s Moroccan and cheapens the restaurant.

Beware! There are at least two unacceptable table locations. One right next to the kitchen with unacceptable heat as well as noise bathing your face, the second in full afternoon sunlight with no shades available. They tried to give us both these tables this evening, even though there was at least one acceptable one available at the time we asked for a change. Both the hostess and the owner/chef were ungracious and unapologetic. We left.

Have never had anything but excellent food and service here. The sauces are always vibrant and full of flavor. Fresh, organic, and frequently updated menu. My favorite restaurant on the San Mateo coast.

Very interesting food and worth the drive from SF or the Peninsula.

A local coastal favorite, Cafe Gibralter greets you with a warm and inviting dining room seasoned with wood fired overtones from the open kitchen. You have choices of dining tables, wine bar, or floor style booths. Inventive to authentic Mediterranean cuisine with areas of Ca influence. Serviced by young, but knowledgeable, friendly waitstaff versed in the Chef's menu and the great wine list.
