The best thing about my eggs and hash was not paying for them. Service was very slow and when my poached eggs and hash arrived the dish was barely warm. The poached eggs were like golf balls and hash tasted totally unseasoned. Replacing the order took over 20 minutes. Staff would drop something and then not check back. They were masters of avoiding eye contact. The cost of meal did not include entree as they removed same from check.

I work nearby and and this was my go-to spot for breakfast meetings here. Dinner recently was appalling. Strange and arch Japenes interpretaions of French. No-one wants to eat that much lackluster raw salmon with no discernible sauce. Horrible raw cuttlefish. Had to take a 5:30 reservation on a VERY slow night. Why?

My daughter and I had breakfast here this morning. We were seated at 11:00 and ordered scrambled eggs, bacon and toast. Not to hard of an order. FORTY FIVE minutes later, still NOTHING! I asked the waitress who said it's coming. I asked for the manager and said how long we were waiting and he admitted the waitress FORGOT to place the order. Food came and then the entire staff IGNORED us!! Go to Sears around the corner, cheaper and better food!

Everyone speaks in hushed tones here. We enjoyed the QUIET of the romantic and elegant dining room--no screaming to converse with your dinner guests here! Service was very professional but not as stuffy as one may expect for such a fancy place. The food was very good; nothing radical about the menu but we supsect that's exactly how the patrons here want it.

The tasting menu is thing of wonder. Daring and inventive. Service can be too formal.
