The fresh ingredients that go into each dish are the stars. Of course the chefs are the magicians who create the magic that is turned into these creative dishes. The wine list is imaginative and offers many choices by the glass and bottle. A winner and a great place to share a meal with good friends.

Terrific food celebrates organic and farm-to-market food. Fresh , simple, flavorful. Constantly changing and interesting menu. A good alternative to its Big Sister downstairs. Great desserts, too.

How can food taste so good? The casual, lower priced Chez Panisse experience; incredible flavors, perfect service and a great place to stop in for a quick bite to eat. It's crowded all the time so don't go without a reservation. It's also a great place for a quick meal before taking in the Berkeley theatre scene.

Though everything was great, I am wondering whether it is in fact all it's famed to be.
