I was very impressed with the food and service and I only ate at the bar. Crowd can be loud for a nice place and rooms feel like a living room in size. Ahi tuna app and seafood curry were bold flavors without being too much. Menu has lots of odd items, duck, hen, game, etc. But, it also has some standards for the less adventurous. Wine list was solid. I gave decor a 2 even though it was nice, just because the space is so small. One of SF's best.

Best food in a great food city. Service is exquisite Only negative is that the tables are way too close. Saw lots of my server's rear. But, it is the best place in town and maybe one of America's best food places.

A great meal got off to a great start with a hamachi sashimi appetizer that was superb. Fish was excellently prepared with seasoning that added to the dish. Our table was not ready upon our arrival and they more than made up for that with free drinks to keep us happy. I usually watch my portions to keep from eating too much, but in this case, I messed up. But what a way to overeat. Always good and highly recommended.

This is our favorite restaurant in the Bay Area. The staff is always attentive and friendly, and the food showed real skills. The foie-gras-stuffed squab is the must-have!

Absolutely fabulous food and service! This establishment met all my hot points. Friendly service, excellent food, beautiful decor and exceptional wine list. Not over-the-top, stuffy service as some mentioned. You just need to know how to accept and receive fine service. The risotto was extraordinary. They even sent us home with a freshly prepared banana muffin for our breakfast. A must go!
