I was unsure what to expect after SF Chonicle critic food Michael Baurer slammed Acme in a recent review. By brother and I ate there before a recent Giants game and the meal was terrific. The baby back ribs were cooked well, falling off the bone, with a delicious smokey BBQ sauce. Fresh garden peas served with the meal were fresh, crisp and sweet. We had ordered some asparagus, not knowing about the peas, and it to was delicious. The dessert

You have to experience this restaurant - the food is great and I just was not expecting it to be that good.

Better than what you might think. Not just a chophouse or a sports bar. The food is excellent.

Very high quality ingredients, excellent service. The menu however changes VERY infrequently. What a shame the head chef is so unwilling to exert himself since this kitchen is capable of turning out very good dishes when he bothers. Consistency is also a problem here. The same dish can vary greatly. Best to come if you're looking for red meat. Also, seems expensive for what you get.

Part of Traci des Jardins restaurant/cuisine responsibilities. Good ambience/food/service. Probably best to go when Giants Baseball is out of town-right next to park
