The "signature" handkerchief pasta with pork ragout was excellent, though the rabbit and bean appetizer proved a disappointment. The service was fine: warm, with just the right degree of friendliness. Like others, we were somewhat taken aback by the 5% extra tax.

Certainly pleasant and satisfying, but slightly short of wonderful. I'd happily go back, though. The menu is creative Northern Italian and the pasta dish that I had was perfectly prepared. Good wine list. Not in a location where many tourists will find it, so the fact that it was full on a Sunday evening is a good recommendation.

I ordered the Arugula salad that is supposed to have balsamic vinegar. I thought chef had used white balsamic until waiter asked me if the balsamic was too light. He showed up with red balsamic to add to the salad. The kitchen had forgotten to add the vinegar. When the entree Vitallone arrived, the veal was swimming in oil and tasteless. Total disappoinment. I will never visit it again.

The pasta is done to perfection, but there's some inconsistency in the food quality. The slow-braised braised octopus tasted both undercooked and overcooked at the same time (hint: that is not a good thing), but the gnocchi was straight from the heavens.

Excellent rustic Italian food. One of my faves in the City
