I've had dinner there twice, once over the summer, and once this week. New chef? Anyway, the first meal was sublime, as good as many of the best Parisian restaurants. The recent meal was a waste of a perfect good C-note.
As in many fine restaurants in France, Patina is both formal and welcoming. Since our table wanted both red and white wine, we four wound up with a different glass for each of our courses, mostly chosen by the sommelier. Our waiter managed the perfect combination of French class and Jewish sass. All this topped by exquisite food that had us all beaming. If I lived in Los Angeles, I'd save up to eat here often..
Everthing is overpriced. The portions are small and the atmosphere stuffy.
Superb downtown Californian. A special occasion place, not necessarily for pre-or-post theater. Bring your wallet, though!
Very quaint, great atmosphere, menu was simple yet eloquent, great food. Good wine list everyone will be pleased, and the portions are satisfying not too much.
