The catfish really needs to be eaten to be believed, studded with deep-fried ginger over a house-made ponzu and cilantro. . .I also had a special crab salad over the most amazing cucumber "noodles". Just wonderful.

Probably, the best restaurant in South Pasadena. Maybe the other restaurants in the area can take some lessons from this establishment. The food is alway great, the servers are always in tune with the customers and most of all, its consistent. The catfish is a must! Hats off to Shiro for doing it right and continuing to do it right.

Shiro is the real deal. Professional servers, a relaxed but elegant dining room that feels like an oasis. And boy do they do seafood right. There's the legendary catfish, but if it was swimming before it got to Shiro, you can't go wrong (nor could you with anything else). Top shelf all the way.
