Service with the precision of a symphony orchestra. Simply amazing. Never better. Wonderful small but not cramped very comfortable dining room. Food was magnificent but I did not see God. Over the top spectacular wine list as well as prices. Perfect once in a lifetime splurge. Front cafe may be worth a second trip.

beautiful restaurant. tables well spaced and service is excellent. food wasn't as good as the venue. we all struggled to find items which were of interest on the menu and the dishes were not memorable.

Completely agree with the prior reviewer. A lovely special occasion restaurant with attentive service, for sure, but for the price and in light of the alternatives available in NYC, the food disappointed. Not one course or dish produced a sublime - this is truly delicous moment. Everything was good but nothing was spectacular or even particularly memorable. Even the bread disappointed. $500 later for 2, that's just not good enough.

We returned last night for the first time since the new renovation. The flowers were beautiful and the room is modern, less formal, yet still classicly elegant. It was saturday night, so everyone was dressed up, which is a nice change from all the other NYC restaurants, in this casual world we live in. The service is perfection, but the food less so. There are better meals out there, for sure, but the whole ambiance is worth the trip.

The consistency perfection is unmatched. The renovated decor is superb and keep this eden of French cooking as current as when it originally opened. The superb pairing of wine with the tasting menu is without par. Daniel is without doubt the maestro of gastronomy.
