Food merely average. Decor looks better from outside then inside. First visit set the stage. Bartender spilled a glass of red wine all over us. Host offered to dry clean our clothes. But we had just jeans and t-shirts and didn't think it was necessary since we'd just throw it all in the washer. Generous host offered us ONE FREE appetizer on the house for the 2 of us to split! Gee so thoughtful! Should have opted for the $40 worth of dry cleaning.

Good place to bring out of town guests. Interesting-ish food and a stylishly cold and sparse decor make this a New York City stereotype.

"Great place, much better than sister restaurant whym. While slightly out of the way it is a lot of fun and has an extensive menu. They even do quick delivery. "

Comforting American fare with a gourmet spin (the meatloaf with white cheddar fondue is moist and decadent). Get there early for brunch on Saturday and Sunday (starting at 9am) since tables can be scarce -- and order the stuffed french toast for the table (too rich for just one person but must be had). Kid-friendly environment and attentive service.
