Used to be better. The food is missing something as of late - it's not bad, but just a wee bland. Service is lovely though, and the burgers you can order in the back (bar area) are perfect!

The food and service were excellent. Both fish and meat entrees were cooked just right and the prix fix was a bargain! The service was attentive but not over bearing. The ambienace, well, there is none. The couple next to us asked a younger couple to be quiet and told them that they should be ashamed of themselves.

Fresh ingredients and imaginative preparation made North Square a pleasure to visit. Prices are very fair, and there is a 3-course fixed price menu that offers good value. Best of all North Square is a restaurant where adults can go and talk over their meal; the atmosphere is quiet and relaxed.

A perfect martini. Briny oysters. Grilled scallops well matched to seasonal vegetables. A nice selection of reasonably priced wines. Attentive service. Widely spaced tables. Terrific location. Except for NYC's temples to cuisine, things don't get a lot better than this.

Service was good, although the staff was much more alternative (tattoos and piercings) than one would expect at a place like this. Grilled sausage appetizer was tasty. Sides that came with the meal were bland and a bit disappointing, but the main dishes themselves were enjoyable.
