Our meal was great and the atmosphere fine but the Old Homstead's service is a minor crime...We had to make repeated requests and reminders (all very gently given) just to have the items we ordered appear on our table. As you can tell from the grades given above, once they arrived, we enjoyed them very much.

I have been working my way through all of the top NYC burger joints, and this was one of the best. The burger was top notch and cooked perfectly. The truffle mac & cheese was out of this world and the Kobe bacon is better than the bacon at Luger's. This place is worth it.

I have been eating out and around the city for years now. Last night my buddy and I decided to give Homestead a try. It was well worth every penny, we spent. My “cut” was amazing. The truffle Mac and Cheese was to die for. I would definitely go back! You must try.

We took our kids to NYC for Spring Break (4/09)and my dad recommended we come here. To be honest, there were several negative reviews and we were suspect, but we had a great meal. Cesar (sp?) really took care of our 9 year-old daughter and she had a ball. Steaks were perfectly cooked, service was friendly and my son really enjoyed the Kobe burger. A bone-in ribeye for me and a bone-in filet for my wife--what a great meal!
