Excellent bistro food in a comfortable environment. However, the service is inconsistent- ranging from excellent to bizarre on a recent visit. Too bad the service does not match the quality of the food.

Tom Valenti's Upper West Side offering is the upscale comfort food jewel that New York craves. His ability to transform classic new American menu offerings into tantalizing dishes carries throughout the entire menu. His Gravlax are second to none. No one prepares sturgeon better than Ouest and if you're in the house on the night lamb shanks are a special, you'd be a fool to pass them up.
