older upscale Italian with great service, and no "attitude".

Food is so-so. The table was cramped, and the service pedestrian.

Cost is higher than you'd expect, food is delicious though. You feel like Frank Sinatra is going to walk through the door any minute. Ask the maitre d to make you spaghetti carbanara, not on the menu but absolutely the best: done table side. Stuffed artichoke a must have when it's on the menu. Great waitstaff: waiters are lovely....funny too. great place to go and pretend you are back with the rat pack.

Charming old-fashioned Italian restaurant with all the touches as expected - including the wall of pictures of famous persons who have dined there. Food was delicious and the kitchen was happy to respond to special requests. Nice stiff drink from the bar. Wine prices were amazingly reasonable and the wait staff didn't try to sell us the most expensive bottle. Wait staff was attentive and, boy, were there a lot of them.

This is NY Italian the way it is supposed to be. Old style decor, excellent attentive wait staff and, most important, fabulous food. Old school? Yes. This is not an upscale theme restaurant (like so many "trendy" Italian restaurants these days). This is the real deal. Go! Eat! Enjoy! Pretend it is 1957 and Frank and his pallies may walk in at any time.
