I was in Vegas recently for my parents 50th and we decided to try Tony Roma's even though it was off the strip. Onion loaf was a great starter. The ribs were even bigger and juicer than the ribs at TR's in Toronto. Two of us had the baby-back ribs, one had fish, and, the other a pasta and fish dish. We were all totally satisfied and totally full. Oh and the waitress was a cutie. All in all, great food, good choices, amazing prices/value.
We could not believe how good the salmon was for a chain. Best flavour even compaired to much higher rated restaurants. A but noisy when busy, but that is Vegas. If you need a relatively inexpensive dinner, this is it.
Tony Romas is getting a bit long in the teeth. My first visit over 30 years ago was a real treat, now it was a bit tame. Granted the ribs are great, but the ambiance is insipid and the service at this location was quite poor. As others have suggested, you can get better fare at locations such as Memphis Barbeque, Ellis Island and several others.
Not the best not the worst! Kid friendly so that is a bonus for us. Our son enjoyed the food but the service was too slow for baby speed and he ended up eating a lot of bread and butter and getting restless. We took my mom for her birthday and she enjoyed it. Nice place to bring out of towners who have not been to a Romas before.
Feels a bit old-school, which will either strike you as charming or too schmoozy - but have received at least good service and at times excellent service at this traditional franchise. Ribs always a favorite, but reasonably decent other faire as well. A vanishing breed that those older than me will appreciate, and those younger than me just won't get at all.
