Been there before, this time was very disappointing! Had Pompano Pontchartrain, fish was excellent but too much crab meat. Ordering the sides a la carte, it was hard finding matching sides (fried potatoes anyone?), had the asparagus, was good but as the fish drowned in butter. Appetizer: Escargots Bordelaise and Huitres Rockefeller, both disappointing, lots of stuffing and butter. Service was slow and unaware! Needs a complete makeover asap!

What a tragic decline for a restaurant - my family has celebrated major events at this restaurant for the last 25 yrs - celebrated my brother's b-day this May. The service was the absolute worst service we have ever experienced (got much better service at a chain restaurant that morning) - waiters arrogant and indifferent, food bland and slapped on plate. Go in to tour the establishment and get out - not worth it anymore - will never go back.

A sad restaurant way past it's prime. The food was mediocre and way overpriced, the service inattentive and the decor very sterile. On top of it, we were overcharged by $20 for things we either didn't order or were supposed to be part of the food already ordered. We had to ask for the charges to be removed. Not at all what I expected. All in all a very disappointing meal saved only by the Baked Alaska.

As a local, I should know better than to put too much stock into these old school traditional New Orleans restuarants. What we ended up paying for was a great dining experience as far as service and atmosphere goes. For the food, yuck! Bland isn't the way to describe it. I would have rather eaten my neice's fried shrimp plate that the recommended pampano shrimp dish. Dry and underseasoned. Would never recommend to anyone.

Handsdown the worst experience I have ever had in a restaurant. The service was unprofessional, lacking, and just embarrassing. The food was downright unpalatable. Oysters Rockefeller were ugly and disgusting. Steaks all cooked well when asked for medium. Baked Alaska nothing special, and cherries jubilee was nasty. It was an absolute waste of time and money. Too expensive. You're better off eating street food, or not eating at all. Unimpressive.
