Overrated! Went to Arnaud's (against my better judgement) when a friend arranged a large (25) group dinner. Nothing was bad (though the soup was cold) but I could have had the same undistinguished meal in Des Moines for half the price and not had to step over vomit on the way out.

I had a delightful time doing a Friday evening dinner. The service was friendly, the prices what I expected to pay at this type of restaurant. The dinning room was lovely -- warmly lit, almost like it had gas lamps. The wine list had newer vintages -- I was told they lost their older wines during Katrina, but the list was adequate and reasonably priced. I am not an expert on creole cooking but I really enjoyed my baked oysters and trout

TOURIST TRAP !! We are N.O. locals who brought our Colorado guests to 8 different N.O. restaurants over 4 days. Arnuad's was by far the WORST. Horribly over priced. Food poor to avg - served cold. Drinks weak. Very poor representation for our tourists. Shame on you, Arnaud's. We will never spend another $ at Arnaud's.

Mediocre on a number of levels, except for the 3-piece Dixieland jazz (which was background music). Food was not bad, but after dining at August, Commanders Palace and Bayona, they weren't quite up to snuff. Our primary server could not even answer the question of what made a salad on the menu "creole," and only stopped by infrequently to see how things were going. My wife reported that the ladies room had a wet floor and was a mess.

Two locals told us not to go to Arnauds and we didn't listen because we wanted to have dinner in the jazz room. Well, the jazz musicians took half-hour breaks every ten minutes, so we had no jazz. The wine list is awful and when we complained about it, the staff acted like it was our fault. The food was fair and not special at all. Has clearly gone downhill.
