I had heard great things but was disappointed. I can't say I've ever had deep fried rabbit before and I won't again.

After dining here a few days ago I am baffled by its high Zagat rating. I ordered the blackened tuna (rare), the steak was watery and without flavor (then again, not a New Orleans specialty), and my husband's shellfish platter came complete with sand in the oysters (he was unpleasantly surprised) .We left feeling time and money wasted.

A two block walk from the St Charles streetcar line which provides romance for a sensual meal to follow. It's all it's cracked up to be. You'll see when you eat somewhere else the following evening...

The location may once have been quaint, but now it is dated and ugly. The kind of place one can't get clean no matter how much elbow grease is used. The food had sparks of excellence, but there just wasn't the energy and excitement that one would expect from such a highly-rated place. Overall, it struck us as a place in the middle of a long, slow slide into irrelevance.
