Cited by Board of Health, conditionally approved to stay open. Take a chance

No Board of Health problems! Last inspected 12/18/08 and they are inspected every six months. The food is great, the atmosphere laid back and the service is superb. Cost is reasonable.

I was very impressed with the food. Everything was very fresh. The garlic naan was delicious, my mango lassi was amazing and their paneer was the best I've ever had. I have been to many Indian restaurants and this was one of the best I've seen in quite a while. The veggie samosas were excellent too! The server at first was a little gruff but warmed up to us quickly. Soon he was smiling and was very helpful.

I have always been in favor of competition, this restaurant confirms why that is. Being from Brooklyn, I have been exposed to various cultural dining experiences, where you can find at least 200 from almost every country imaginable. After reading these reviews and being in the area I decided to give this a try, I should have checked my expectations at the door. The worst Indian restaurant in the city would be considered excellent in comparison.

I've been back to this restaurant a couple of times since my first review three years ago. The food is still great, but the service is not quite as friendly as in the past. We took a couple of people that had never eaten Indian food before, kept in mild, but they were totally blown away by the new tastes they discvered. Still the best Indian food on the East Coast. If you like Indian food and you're in the area, be sure to stop by.
