Excellent food and great service despite the very dated and unappealing decor. Full of mostly locals, and very few tourists probably due to its location. Definitely worth the drive. Desert was a really low point. I still give it a "3" because everything else is excellent.

Food is good...of course I have my favorites...the menu doesn't change much. The owner/hostess is not very friendly...sometime it seems like she thinks she's doing you a favor by letting you eat at her restaurant....

Chef Russell Siu's flagship, and still one of my favorites in all of Honolulu. There isn't much of a view, and it is out of the way, but the wines and the fresh fish will make you forget all that with the first sip and the first bite. My personal favorite is the Opakapaka in Chinese black bean broth. It is the only thing I'll order, and in 10 years I have NEVER been disappointed.
