Disappointing meal. The kitchen seems to have lost their way. Too many sweet appetizers and mains, which results in reduced complexity and loss of subtlety.

HIGH HAWAIIAN TEMPLE OF ARTISTIC CUISINE: Intense, intellectual but real HI flavors woven into a veritable precise masterpiece by about 25 earnest underling chefs who mean business. Damn, NOBODY works this hard to create, complicate and dazzle anymore (think Quilted Giraffe in the 80's...). Insanely complex, never precious or overwrought, the fuss works -buds will be in swooning. If you think food (and wine!) is art, Alan Wong is the Louvre.
