This might have been great once but now seems like the place all the kids might go for prom night. Great view of the waves but what's on your plate is a little uninspired. You have some small surprises- like the game meat plate but the execution was a little off- with everything being a little overcooked. But kudos for pairing it with a chocolate sauce- not as unappetizing as one might think. The decor is a tired but the service is good.

Prix fix meal ($40) as part of San Diego Restaurant Week was a superb dining experience, from the initial reaction of walking into this magnificent restaurant on the beach in LaJolla to each delicious course. Each dish was prepared & presented perfectly, & all were extremely delicious.

This place was a delight. My mother in law visits whenever she is in San Diego, and my inlaws took us with them on a visit. We originally were only going to have a cocktail, but stayed for dinner. Service was wonderful, despite the fact that we were overdressed. The made to order caesar salad was delicious, and my steak was amazing. You can't beat the view or the sunset. A great special occasional dinner place with an interesting character.

This is the California ocean view restaurant I've been looking for. Food service, etc were perfect. Not overpriced - you pay for your meal they add in the view. They also let you bring your own wine for a special occasion if it's over 5 years old.
