DISAPPOINTING!! Steaks were tough (2 varieties). Service unimpressive......told our waiter the lettuce was frozen in the salad...he said: "oh, I'll tell the chef"....and that was the end. Cost very high for less than mediocre dinner. Save the time and money.

UGH. Not a good steak. The food was not served hot. I was expecting a legendary steakhouse and I was disappointed. We ate down in the wine cellar and the ambiance is like my basement. I would have liked the traditional feel of the upstairs more. But the food was surprisingly average. The steak tartar was bland and not prepared tableside. My gut tells me that Capital Grille across the street is better.

Service was attentive and helpful. We ate in the lower level "wine cellar" which was quiet and well appointed. There are plenty of choices for the steak lover here. The Porterhouse is juicy and ample (24oz). The sides are very solid. Definitely leave room for the key lime pie as it is a great way to finish the evening.

A Kansas City classic! While The Plaza is being overrun by "the chains," Plaza II remains an elegant lady, rising to the occasion. More sophisticated, definitely not for the "Blue Man Group" type of crowd. Sinatra? Most definitely!
